I'm Liz, twenty-three years old, journalist by day, sci-fi fangirl by night. (And secretly during the day, too; just don't tell my employers.) I have a degree in Journalism and a minor in History from Carleton University. I was born in the United States (Washington, D.C., to be specific) but grew up in Ottawa, Canada, and most of the time I love it here. (Except for the winters, which SUCK.) I'm owned by three cats - Minnie, Misty, and Samuel T. Anders (after the BSG character, yes). I once spent a month in San Francisco, and I consider the Bay Area of California to be my home at heart. I also have part of my soul in Vancouver, where my best friend and my goddaughters live.

I have a tendency to be annoyingly optimistic, especially when I probably should not be, and am usually smiling. Quiet but outgoing, I consider myself an extrovert even as I value my "me time." I'm bisexual and have had both male and female partners. Officially diagnosed as manic-depressive, I absolve grief, sadness and moodiness through writing. I am involved in far too many fannish pursuits. I am obsessive about my two "Girlfriends", Padmé Amidala and Kara Thrace - my username is for them. I'm a multishipper, and I make no apologies for being so. I also have a fine appreciation for the art of the rant. And I adore hockey like it's going out of style.
